Who We Are

Words of Appreciation
from Families

“I had the most amazing experience working with Admissions Angle. From informing me about interesting summer programs and internships to sifting through the significance of every last word in my personal statement, I felt fully in control yet supported during my entire college admissions process. Throughout and beyond our weekly meetings, Admissions Angle understood the perfect balance between guiding me and allowing me to carve my own path. I entered this admissions season completely overwhelmed by the extensive schools to look at, essays to write, and interviews to prepare for. However, Admissions Angle's mentorship and professional experience helped me take on and tackle this lengthy beast of a process. Beyond just college applications, I believe that the Admissions Angle helped me further establish and explore what I am truly passionate about. Their genuine care for me and my future pushed me to explore parts of myself and pursue opportunities that have better shaped the person I am today. As I move on to college next year, I am so excited to have the opportunity to study exactly what I am interested in at exactly the right school for me. I am so thankful to Admissions Angle for bringing me to this point!”

“Admissions Angle was a steady source of guidance and clarity throughout my college process. From helping me select and frame my activities to brainstorming essay ideas, they played a crucial role in shaping both my application and the narrative I wanted to present. Admissions Angle encouraged me to pursue the opportunities that were available to me, and their support set me up for success at every step of the process. In one of the most stressful periods of my life, Admissions Angle brought me comfort and gave me confidence in myself. They not only influenced my application, but also the person that I am today.”

“When I retained the Admissions Angle team to guide my younger daughter through the college admissions process, I did so on a gut feeling based on their excellent webinars that were chock full of practical advice. Now, two years later, with my daughter in her dream school, I can see that their impact on her was much more far-reaching than getting the applications in on time. My daughter was a solid student, but her ultimate ‘story’ was shaped by her work with the Admissions Angle team. They challenged her to work on an academic project outside of school, and now it’s work that she intends to continue in college. Her personal statement was not one and done – Hannah had to work through very different topics before she landed on one that rang true and gave her the angle she never knew existed within herself. Of course, as a parent, it is hard to see past the mountain of work and looming deadlines and see the process as an exercise in introspection. Admissions Angle is everything you need them to be to help your student get accepted but in the end, their value grows long past the click of the submit button.”

Authenticity

"I doubt I could’ve gotten into this school without the help of Admissions Angle. From the get-go, the team spent countless hours helping me craft an Angle that worked well with what I was already interested in. Further, with their help, I was able to really demonstrate to admissions officers who I was as an applicant via my writing. Specifically, by helping me put my personality into my personal statement as well as all my supplementals. The team always seemed to have my best interests at heart and never deterred me from applying to extremely competitive schools. These past two years with Admissions Angle definitely helped me with my time management, grit, and ability to get back up after being kicked down. Thank you to the Admissions Angle team! I’m forever grateful."

"Working with Admissions Angle was an absolute pleasure! The team took the time, not just to learn of our daughter's academic goals, but to also understand her personality, her interests, and her individuality. We highly recommend working with Admissions Angle! They were truly a 'difference maker' in our daughter's path towards higher education! Our daughter did get accepted into several of her top choices for college, including her dream school (Yale), which she will be attending this fall!"

"Working with Admissions Angle made the college admissions process much smoother and more exciting. The team has so much knowledge and experience, which was crucial in crafting my interests and experiences into a coherent voice. The team has a talent for bringing out ideas and concepts with potential and helping refine them into thoughtful essays. They were also really creative in helping me show all aspects of my personality to colleges throughout each application. Beyond the writing help, I could feel the genuine care that the Admissions Angle team had for each student, which was quite encouraging in such an intense process. Thank you!"

"The Admissions Angle team was a wonderful support to both our children as they navigated the college application process and was always available to answer their questions. They provided the right amount of support while allowing the students to drive the process so that their voice and personality shined in the application, personal essays, and statements. Both of our children were accepted at their top-choice college. Knowing they had a supportive and knowledgeable counselor on their side was invaluable as we navigated the sometimes daunting college application process. We highly recommend Admissions Angle."

"I think my relationship with Admissions Angle went beyond just a college essay mentor. Joining the team at the end of my sophomore year truly helped expand my viewpoint of what opportunities were around me. Because of the mentorship, I learned more about interesting topics like technical analysis, RSA cryptography, and the Ethereum blockchain. At each meeting, the team and I would debrief about what new developments had been made in the tech sphere, which either inspired my next personal deep dive. By the end of my junior year, I felt that the team truly knew me as both an individual and a student. During college and summer applications, the back-and-forth weekly essay process helped simplify the essay timeline and created a routine of providing the team the essay days in advance to squeeze yet another revision before our next meeting. By the time an essay was finished, there would be upwards of 6 drafts! Working with the Admissions Angle team made the whole process a lot less stressful overall and helped lift some of the burden of structuring my essay."

"I began working with Admissions Angle during my sophomore year, so I was able to implement many of their ideas, such as hands-on research papers and a science blog, that really helped me present myself as a knowledgeable and self-driven scientist in my applications! Even though the team had many good suggestions and obviously knew what could create a brilliant application, they never tried to stifle my unique interests and helped me incorporate them into my essays. When it came to editing, they always made sure that the essays still used my voice and were truly representative of me. I wouldn’t have known how to present myself in the best possible way to elite institutions without the help of the Admissions Angle team."

Mindfulness

“Kaia graduated from high school yesterday, and we wanted to take this opportunity to formally thank the Admissions Angle team for their support and guidance this past year. The team has incredible patience and skill at engaging and drawing out ideas from the toughest of minds—burned-out teenagers! Throughout the process, we really appreciated that the team knew when to give direct and specific feedback and when to turn the prompt back to Kaia and let her go at it again. We also felt that the team was invested in her as a person, not just a client. For that, we are especially grateful. It's so easy to feel like a cog in the giant application process, but when there is genuine investment from the student and the adults helping them, the application process—including all the self-reflection and perseverance that goes into it—becomes an important phase of their development.”

"We are so grateful for Admissions Angle’s guidance as our son’s college counselor. From the start, the team helped him explore his interests, refine a major, and craft a compelling story by aligning his academic and extracurricular achievements. The team’s support during the personal essay process was invaluable, pushing him to create an authentic, impactful essay that reflected his unique story. Admissions Angle also guided us in selecting the right schools, balancing ambition and fit. Their responsiveness and expertise made the process seamless, and best of all, our son was accepted into his first-choice school! We highly recommend their services."

GROWTH

"My mentor was extremely supportive throughout the process, from the beginning of high school to completing my final application. He encouraged me to discover my passions in an organic way and was invaluable in helping me turn those passions into tangible impacts. When I became interested in the field of linguistics, for instance, he showed me how to create my own linguistics blog and emboldened me to found my school’s first Linguistics Club. And when writing my applications, he encouraged me to utilize my unique voice and perspective to stand out. "

“Working with the Admissions Angle team was an amazing experience I’d highly recommend. The team really listened to me during our first meeting. They developed a trajectory to build on my existing interests while encouraging me to explore new opportunities. Thanks to the team’s advice, I found a standardized test option that suited my skills better. I developed more confidence to become a leader in my school’s extracurriculars. I attended summer programs I would have never known about otherwise. The team was there to support me in every stage, and with their intimate knowledge of the admissions process, they always knew the way forward when tough decisions arose. The team was also critical in helping me choose my major and build the narrative in my personal statement. I am so grateful to Admissions Angle for their mentorship.”

They guided me in identifying unique majors and tailoring my extracurriculars to better match my profile as an applicant. Additionally, their coaching and editing skills were invaluable in creating college essays. I highly recommend Admissions Angle for their expertise, attention to detail, and talent as coaches/editors/planners.”

“Alex and Noelle know the college admissions process inside and out. They know exactly what colleges are looking for in terms of extracurriculars, academics, transcripts, essays and as a result, their expertise makes them a great molder of applicants. I came to Alex with a rough direction of what I wanted to do with my career and in a day he crafted a plan of attack to get me into my dream school. We narrowed down my interests into one unique major, he then helped me beef up my extracurriculars to better match my profile as an applicant to that major. From there we began work on essays. Both Alex and Noelle are masters of charting the waters of helping students write interesting, memorable, and even edgy essays while staying in the sphere of what admissions readers want to see. The Admissions angle tapped into my collection of life lessons and memories and from there pulled out small anecdotes and tidbits to help me craft multiple moving essays. In the final days of writing, my essays Alex also ensured all other aspects of my college application were in order. Whenever I had a question regarding a transcript, activities or additional information he knew what to do or directed me in how to solve any issues. With Alex and Noelle’s attention to detail, knowledge of the application process, and talent as coaches/editors/planners I was able to get into my dream school. I could not have done it without them! Thanks, Alex and Noelle!”

Articulation

“I came into this process with a general idea of what I wanted to do, but my profile wasn't cohesive. With Admissions Angle's unwavering support and expertise, I was able to craft my application into something that I was proud of and felt well represented by. Between my essays, activities and character that I presented to the universities, I was so happy with the final result. Admissions Angle helped put my ideas into words, strategise, but most importantly prioritise finding the best fit for my next four years. Having gotten into my number one school, I couldn't have been more satisfied with my journey applying to colleges. The whole process was enjoyable, smooth and exciting. I couldn't recommend Admissions Angle more.”

“With the college acceptance rates dropping each year, I don’t think I would have stood out in such a competitive applicant pool without my guidance from the Admissions Angle. They played an integral role in fine-tuning my essays to showcase my interests, hobbies, personality, and love for STEM. They also encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone by brainstorming new service-oriented activities to further enhance my profile, from starting my own think tank to hosting a webinar series for my community. For my personal statement, they helped me to establish an overarching analogy that would serve as the foundation for my life experiences. I am immensely grateful for the Admissions Angle; they packaged my application so it would “work” for my dream school. Thanks Admissions Angle for the endless support!”

“The Admissions Angle team is an extremely trustworthy source for all things college. The team has an extraordinary feel for the college process, with a creative twist. They understand the personalities of their different students and have a tremendous talent to know what colleges are looking for. The team is not afraid to think outside the box with ways to stand out and display personality in all aspects of the application process. They are also very helpful in the essay-writing process. The team was an unbelievable resource in helping me translate my experiences and talents into thought-provoking essays that correlated with who I am and my line of study. Working with the Admissions Angle team was a decision that certainly paid off for me.”

"When I began working with Admissions Angle, I had several quickly approaching deadlines and only a slight hint about what topic I wanted to write about. Thanks to the support and guidance of the team, I was able to find new topics to base my essays around as well as new details to include. The team is also superb editors, providing me with many thorough, easily understandable, and helpful comments and suggestions throughout my many drafts so that the final product would truly be the best possible version. Also, in the short time we worked together, the team was able to significantly bolster my extracurriculars and overall application by providing me resources to different projects and activities I could take on. Without Admissions Angle, I wouldn't have had such a strong and cohesive application ready by my deadlines. I really appreciate the Admissions Angle team's expertise and assistance in getting me here today."

“Without Admissions Angle, I wouldn’t have been able to get into my dream school. I started working with the team in eighth grade, and they helped me to have specific goals and plans for my high school tenure. With these goals and plans, my application had a harmonic element that made me different from other applicants. In order for me to stand out, the team and I worked on the junction for all my high school achievements and life experiences: the Common App and supplemental essays. Since the beginning of the summer before my senior year, the team and I wrote at least 50 drafts in total for ten different schools. The team suggested specific edits from my initial drafts that would make my essays connect with my passion for STEM. With hard work from both the team and me, we ended up with final drafts that radiated my background and passion for colleges. I strongly believe that the essays were a big part of my success, and I thank the Admissions Angle team for their help.

Balance

"One of the most helpful benefits I found through Admissions Angle's mentorship was their ability to guide me through and elevate my interests when I was unsure myself. An all-too common experience students like me struggle through is being able to find a balance between pursuing a genuine interest, while taking it to a deeper level by putting it into practice. Whether it was providing me with the pros and cons of a particular career path, or suggesting certain summer programs and extracurriculars to pursue those paths, much of the team's assistance gave me time to explore the varying interests I had while delving deeper into ones I found a place in."

“The college admissions process is a very daunting process, but with the help of Alex Loveless and Admissions Angle, it became a much more manageable process and an overall better experience. Alex was super thorough and honest with his feedback and constantly pushed me to strive for success. His knowledge and expertise of the college process reassured me at every step, in particular during essay brainstorming sessions. He was able to elevate all of my ideas into a cohesive, compelling, and well-rounded essay. I am extremely grateful for his guidance and without his support, I would not be where I am today.”

Alex was very helpful in easing my anxiety about the transfer process. His resources enabled me to make a strict timeline and adhere to it while having someone to hold me accountable. Alex pays attention to detail, just like me, which is why we worked so well together and complemented each other’s ideas. I am beyond grateful for his fast replies and tips, which perfected my application and even got me into Harvard!

Confidence

"The Admissions Angle team has been a true partner to my son and our family through all the ups and downs of a rewarding college application process, and I highly recommend their services. To be honest, my family resisted getting outside support for the college application process simply because we thought we could and should be able to do it all ourselves. After all, we did it without any help back in the 90s, and we all did okay! Ha. When personal and work emergencies made it difficult for us to prioritize the college process, we finally admitted we needed help and reached out to Admissions Angle based on a strong recommendation from another family who worked with the firm in the past. Our only regret is that we didn’t start with them sooner to guide our son’s junior year. The team has an exceptional way of building trust and establishing friendly and professional rapport with both teenagers and their parents even on their most stressed-out days. Our son, who would often groan and sigh at his parents trying to give him advice, responded so positively to the team’s cheerful mindset, firm accountability, and the clarity they provided throughout the process—from list generation to brainstorming and editing his personal statement and supplemental essays. Always honoring what was unique and special about my son but also never allowing us to get delusional about the current competitive realities. The team provided clear-headed and kind expert guidance that we didn’t know we would need so much. My son is now so happy and proud to have several wonderful college options to choose from, and we couldn’t be any more grateful to the Admissions Angle team."

“Admissions Angle not only helped me put together essays and application materials but also showed me a much-needed direction for my college application. I came to the team without a strong resume or a clear direction. From our very first meeting, the team helped me reflect on my experiences, interests, and goals to determine how to put together a strong application. They helped me fully develop my resume in the short time of a couple of months, ensuring that my passions and accomplishments were presented in an impactful way. The team asked thoughtful questions that helped me write unique essays. They provided detailed feedback and suggestions and helped me draft multiple versions of every single essay. Throughout the entire application process, the team was always willing to have open and honest discussions about anything I was concerned or unsure about, ranging from my extensive college list to managing essay deadlines and my academic workload. I am extremely grateful for Admissions Angle Team guidance and support, and would not have navigated this challenging process successfully without their mentoring.”
